Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Display name (optional)
• Authentication credentials (managed securely through Firebase Authentication)

Baby Profile Information

To personalize the App experience, you may provide:

• Baby's name
• Baby's date of birth
• Known allergies and dietary restrictions
• Feeding stage and preferences

Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information when you use the App:

• Food journal entries (foods tried, reactions, notes)
• Meal logs and feeding records
• Interaction with the AI Coach (questions and responses)
• App usage patterns and feature interactions
• Device type, operating system version, and app version

Subscription Information

If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not collect or store any payment card details, bank account numbers, or other financial information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and personalize the App experience based on your baby's age and feeding stage
• Display age-appropriate food recommendations and safety information
• Power the AI Coach to provide relevant feeding guidance
• Track your baby's food introduction history and reactions
• Manage your subscription and provide premium features
• Improve the App's functionality and content
• Communicate important updates about the App

3. AI Coach

The AI Coach feature processes your questions to provide personalized feeding guidance. Your conversations with the AI Coach are:

• Processed in real time to generate responses
• Not used to train AI models
• Not shared with third parties
• Stored securely in association with your account

The AI Coach provides general information based on evidence-based pediatric nutrition guidelines and should not be considered medical advice. Always consult your pediatrician for medical concerns.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase infrastructure, which provides:

• Encryption in transit and at rest
• Industry-standard security protocols
• Geographically distributed data centers
• Regular security audits and compliance certifications

While we implement commercially reasonable security measures, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Children's Privacy

Yamito is designed for use by parents and caregivers, not by children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. The baby profile information is provided by the parent or caregiver and is used solely to personalize the feeding guidance experience.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) — Authentication, data storage, and analytics
• RevenueCat — Subscription management and in-app purchase processing
• Apple App Store — App distribution and payment processing

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their use of data. We encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• With service providers who assist in operating the App (as described above)

• To protect the rights, property, or safety of Yamito, our users, or others

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — Update or correct inaccurate information
• Deletion — Delete your account and all associated data from within the App settings
• Export — Request a copy of your data in a portable format
• Opt-out — Disable analytics data collection through your device settings

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. When you delete your account, we will delete all associated personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy within the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
